As of 4/3/2023 we are back in business after the snow melted and the rain stopped!  We have plenty of dry and well seasoned wood in stock.

If you have questions, feel free to email us at firewood@bonnytorridon.com.

------------------

Sustainably harvested, this wood comes from trees that were killed by the CZU Lightening Complex fire in the Santa Cruz area in 2020.  A mix of oak or madrone or both, cut to roughly 16" length and split.  We can provide kindling as well, on request.

We deliver anywhere in the Bay Area for a small fee (you can add this at checkout).

We can stack the wood in most circumstances for a small fee.

A "cord" is a standard unit of measure - it is wood stacked into a 4' x 4' x 8' box.  Half a cord is half of that, so 4' x 4' x 4'.  A quarter cord is 2' x 4' x 4'.

A 'face cord' is a what many companies incorrectly call a "cord".  It is wood stacked 4' x 8' by one piece deep, or about 4' x 8' x 20".  It is roughly 1/3rd of a true cord by volume.

Firewood is oddly shaped and uneven, so there will always be gaps between pieces.  But a reputable dealer will stack the wood tightly for measurement purposes, as we do.

"Seasoned" means that the tree was cut down at least a year ago, and the wood allowed to air dry.  This removes moisture from the wood, and makes it burn better.  All of our wood is fully seasoned - most of these trees died in 2020 in fact and the rest were killed by that fire but took a while to die.

Assuming that we can get the truck fairly close, and there are not steps or other obstacles, we can stack the wood for $25 / quarter cord (so $50 for a half cord, $100 for a full cord).  Please add the "Stack Firewood" product for the correct amount to your order.
